Once you arrive in the park, check in at your lodge or accommodation. You can spend the afternoon exploring the nearby villages or relaxing in preparation for the gorilla trek the following day. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable night's rest in the vicinity of the park.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Today is the highlight of your trip - gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. After an early morning briefing by park authorities, you'll be assigned to a specific gorilla group. The trek can vary in duration, depending on the location of the gorillas, and it can be anywhere from 1 to 6 hours. Once you locate a gorilla family, you'll have a precious hour to observe and photograph these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your accommodation to relax and relive the incredible experience. You may opt to visit the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village to learn more about Rwanda's culture and traditions.
Day 4: Return to Kigali and Departure Following breakfast, depart from Volcanoes National Park and head back to Kigali. You can use this return journey to enjoy the beautiful Rwandan countryside, passing through scenic landscapes. Upon arrival in Kigali, you'll have the opportunity to explore the city further or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs.
