Description

Day 1: Arrival in Nyungwe National Park Upon your arrival at the nearest airport (usually Kigali International Airport), you'll be greeted by your tour guide or representative. From there, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park, which can take several hours. Once you reach the park, check in at your chosen accommodation and have some free time to relax and explore the surrounding area.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Start your day early and head to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. Nyungwe National Park is renowned for its population of habituated chimpanzees. You'll set out with experienced guides to track these fascinating primates through the dense forest. The trek can vary in duration, but once you locate a chimpanzee group, you'll have the opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: Birdwatching and Canopy Walk Dedicate this day to exploring the incredible birdlife of Nyungwe National Park. After breakfast, head out on a guided birdwatching tour. Nyungwe is home to over 300 bird species, including many endemic and rare species. Your expert guide will help you spot and identify these avian wonders.

In the afternoon, prepare for the exhilarating canopy walk. This suspension bridge offers breathtaking views of the forest canopy and is a fantastic opportunity to spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife from an entirely different perspective. After the canopy walk, return to your accommodation for the evening.

Day 4: Departure Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and depending on your departure schedule, you may have some free time to explore the park further or simply relax in the beautiful natural surroundings. Later, you'll depart from Nyungwe National Park and head back to Kigali or your next destination.
